England Women Winning 20-0 vs Latvia
The big issue with Eastern European countries is that they are patriarchal and women aren't really expected to become football players or have high end careers, and a lot of them are expected to have children and marry by 21. It's kinda revealing with the huge disparity between East and West when it comes to this. Even Republic of Ireland beat Georgia like 8-0.

UEFA really need to sort this out in women's football.

You're allowed to look into teams and players before you watch them. I don't really understand why this is so controversial, and I don't mean just you, this idea that until you watch something football related you can't possibly know anything about it. It is just odd to me.

Sometimes I watch a team or player and feel like I know less than before.

That is the beauty of football, it is opinionated. People see different things with their eyes. I mean, if I ever heard a conversation in the Winslow after the game where one guy is checking their phone and saying 'Our expected goals was 2.5, so we played well', then I would despair.

I don't know, as a fan who has been brought up as a match goer, me, my mum and dad followed our lower league side around the country (well North West when we were in the regional league). I have been brought up to watch football with no replays and no stats. Using my eyes to see whether a player plays well or not, whether the tactics work or not.

I have no problem with managers using all the stats, and the technology of heat maps and GPS trackers and such like can be extremely useful for them to go into the specifics to get the best out of the team/individual players.

What I find extremely cringeworthy is when fans start saying things about these very niche stats and using them.

So basically you think fans should have opinions without actually trying to determine if they have any factual basis behind them because that's how it used to be. I have no problem with that. I just wish there was a bit more respect for those of us who are fine with new things.

For Rooney, I think this might be the best thing for him. There is no expectation. No media clamouring for him to win promotion. Nobody mentioning his name about other jobs. Not being groomed to succeed anybody. He is just there, learning his trade. Reckon he might be a better manager for it.

I think we all know he will end up managing Everton at some point in the future. Unless something untoward happens. His experience with Derby will be a great learning curve for him.
Yep dealing with a poorly run club and nothing going your way is perfect experience for his time at Everton.
