Time to face facts?

Are our coaching staff up to the job?

Lets be fair - would this be an issue if we hadnt of lost three games out of four in the league any way you want to dress it up this is knee jerk.

I have a strange feeling the season is longer then 3 games.

*Marks to bump at a latter date.

It probably wouldn't have been an issue if the same thing hadn't happened 2 years on the trot.

Longer than 3 games? Nope, our season is over.
I don't start a season hoping to get into Europe. I start a season hoping to win the league. :D

Thats optimistic even by my standards mate.

Honestly what would your reaction be if the club changed the management tomorrow?

Was it not six games ago that this manager and team were hailed for their brilliance and being a beacon of hope of footballing pincaple and integrity by all in sundry.

Its a long way to fall in short footballing minutes - to be fair an even greater shift in perception - where did it all go wrong.

Gutted.
I love the guy to death, but seeing as I'm open minded, I wanted to discuss a few things. (y)

Excuse me, there's no kneejerking from me and not from what i've read from Bluebastardo either.

Its addressing the issues we see from Moyes (and by extension his coaching staff) which are affecting us on the pitch.

If it was full of "moyes out" and "were [Poor language removed] and getting relegated" then yeah call it kneejerk. But its not, its an attempt at a reasonable discussion whilst raising what we see as genuine issues with our team on the pitch.

Somethinsg wrong at the moment. Somethings wrong again just like last season.

Now chances are we are going to have a fight on this season just to qualify for europe. Instead of fighting to do even better if we had a decent bloody start.

And we were discussing if our poor start (and our poor performances in seasons past) are in any way down to Moyes and his flaws.

Feel free to bump this at the end of the season, will be interesting to see how many times after we've lost again Moyes tactical decisions are questioned. To see how many times we give away possesion by playing long balls up to lone strikers not suitable for the job. To see how many times we have players playing poorly due to being out of position. To see how many times we defend leads and invite teams on to us to score. To see how many times we go behind and wait till 5 mins from time to make attacking subs.

I sincerely hope its very little and that we never lose, i'd gladly be shown to be completly wrong about all this, trust me.

We're going to win the league!

Bottom line is this. We have a team waiting to explode on to the Premier league. We have potential stars (Billy, Heitinga, Distin, Fellaini). We have players who are lacking form (Osman, Jo). We have players who are going to be world stars (Rodwell, Baxter). We have players coming back from injury who are world class (Yak, Arteta, Jags). We have players who at the moment are quality (Pienaar).

Once these lot gel, and that usually means players who are not doing so well do better, and those who are already excellent go into overdrive, then I think the starter of this thread is going to feel a little bit silly.

Minutes together on the pitch mate would have done us no harm tonight.

Good for you m8. (y)
In 7 years, we've been playing second rate football, but getting great results, but our players are suddenly going to set the world alight and become a blue version of Barcelona.
I think you need to get a better feel for the intention of the thread. :)

BTW Ghost,

Live on SSN now, Ferguson has just been talking about how you can't afford to get off to a bad start in this league, and that he was playing catch up to Chelsea during their 2 league titles.
He talked about how he changed their training programmes to ensure things were fixed, and that was the major factor in them returning to the top.

Maybe I might not look so silly now, huh? :P

Why is it silly when there is a need to identify problems and fix it? It would be silly to dwell on good things and ignore our shortcomings as if they are never there in the first place. Is the team PERFECT?
