Thought he would score today :( don;t remember many through balls although he had the pace and confidence of an 80 year ugly bird when he did get through.

Maybe this is the real Jelavic and last season we were seeing the patch of form, that being good not bad?

when he turned back on himself today when he seemed through everyone around me said 'now that, is a striker with low confidence' or words to that effect

that reminded me of the sort of movement torres had pre Rafael instead of running through the defense like his RS days he would try wait for back up to arrive hopefully he gets back on the goal sheet otherwise moyes might have to bring a forward in if we are serious about getting top 4

It's the Moyes effect on strikers. He was good before Moyes had a pre-season with him to coach out his natural finishing ability....

I thought Big Vic looked like he was up for it against West Ham, ****er still needs a kick up the arse and to get his head straight but I wonder if resting Jelavic and giving Vic the starting role may do the pair of them so goood. Jelavic is totally off form and please, please no more mention of Naismith in there to help him as he is a liability and IMO only serves to remind Jelavic that they may not be as good as they think they are.

Naismith has been doing alright. He's supposed to have a knee problem this year that won't be fixed until the offeseason. Maybe that is why he's flopping all over the place. Still might need a rest after the chelsea game.
