2025/26 Tim Iroegbunam

He is a bizarre player. Either 2/10 or 8/10 with little to no in between. That's probably been impacted by not having a consistent season of football since 22-23 in the Championship.

Still not quite sure what to do with him as one half thinks sell if we can get double our money in the summer, and the other half would want to give him a chance at nailing down a first team spot with Gana leaving.

This is where I'm at as well mate.

I think what he has going for him with Davey is his size and athleticism.

Picks up far too many cards. Yes, it is partially to be expected when playing in midfield, but others tackle cleaner in his positions.

Need to calm down and be a bit more clinical in his tacking.

He’s only 22 so his performances will be a bit inconsistent, especially given the sporadic way he’s used.
I think he’s right up Moyes street personally, low profile, athletic, doesn’t mind getting stuck in, and young enough that he can still be moulded into Moyes way of playing.

I think you’re right mate, I think he’s right down Moyes’s street. He’s helped fill the Doucoure shaped presence and athleticism hole in some games.

From the clubs point of view it’s nearly stick or twist time in terms of new contract or not.

I’m just not convinced myself, as you say he can be mixed, thought he wasn’t great first half Mon but great the second and that about sums it up.

To be fair to him he’s no1 over Rohl and Armstrong in the pecking order this year for Moyes - long term do I see staying ahead of those two - I probably don’t and I think wel sign another midfielder in the summer to.

So a bit to be decided on Tim in the next few months - lad might feel he needs to be a starter at this stage to.
