2025/26 Tim Iroegbunam

I’d give him a run of games as the defensive midfielder ahead of Gueye and see if he can show he’s worth keeping around next season. Echo above there’s a good player in there potentially but the distribution needs to improve, that may come with regular games, may not. His physicality in the middle helps.
It's no surprise his distribution and overall game improved massively during the run of games he was given when Gana was away. Like many of the squad this season, he's been managed pretty woefully.

He’s decent enough to keep around.

Think there’s a potentially very good player in there, but playing next to a AWOL midget in tights would be murder for any one.

Odd how he looked much better next to Garner when the above player was at AFCON…
He played next to Garner against Newcastle and put in quite possibly the worst individual performance I've seen from an Everton midfielder since the one he put in against Wolves in the cup - when he was playing next to Garner - which in turn was probably the worst I'd seen since Andre Gomes played like he'd just been waterboarded at Villa Park, so I'm not sure i'd agree with you there.

I don't see why we can't just be patient with young players. Lots of people were moaning about Garner last season but this season he's been one of our better players.
