That sounds to me like he's defo still dropped.

How can that be interpreted any other way?

"He's injured", no he isn't. It's face saving bollocks.

The important line there was that he now has to fight for his place. He's been demoted. That's that.
Let's hope so. No more blunders....

Won't be booed at home but his time is coming towards an End.. The time is now to give Robles his prep for next season if we're serious about pushing for the league.. Actually Like Joel tbh and Tim would be a great person to teach him from now on..

Maybe so but there is alot of positives in having a player who has played in some serious international games under a hell of alot of pressure.. Tim wouldnt be 1 to try and hold Joel back..
Thats what annoys me since Robles stood in and played well not a congratulatory word from Timmy!
What could he possibly teach him how to fall on his backside - do star jumps - close your eyes etc etc!lol

Neville Southall was saying on Talk Sport about a month back Joel should be playing in goal now for Everton not Howard.
What did Roberto end with "at that moment I am sure it will be very easy to make the right call", well if the big man says Joel is the right call, Joel it should be, but of course its not down to Nev and Roberto picks, however the manager should know allready who is playing, regardless of Howard's fitness but based on performance.

History has shown that you can't believe a word uttered by RM. He is a man of superlatives which he
surely he knows his audience find unbelievable and when he speaks about his transfer plans he misleads
rather than informs.

However if he drops 'Clean Sheets' for the Flapper Man, then it has be to be for non-sporting reasons.

Martinez quoted in Baines article on Echo:
“Leighton did well enough when he played and then he picked up a knock and missed the Carlisle game.
“At that point, as we always do, we allowed competition for places to ensure our levels were kept up from game to game.
“Bryan Oviedo did really, really well, the whole back four did, as did Joel Robles and they all kept their place.
“That continuity has given us a very good platform and that’s what you want as a squad.
“You want players who work hard to get an opportunity, they wait patiently for an opportunity and when they get that opportunity they need to be given the chance to keep that place.

Joel will keep his place. That was probably our most impressive result of the season, I highly doubt he'll drop anybody.

Martinez is a tit but he's not that big a tit.

RM states he picks the team not on favouritism but from judgment - in Timmys performances very worrying for us then, and RM as it may cost him his job we would to six? oe 4 now, only for Tims bad keeping should have been dropped 18 months ago!
Any line up in defence with Timmy in goal is in for a bad time!
