Tim Howard

Love how this thread never dies.

Howard could retire tomorrow and somehow many moons from now you lot would still complain about his last season with Everton forgetting the other 9 years prior.

That's because it lacked a Secretary of Dee-Fense. I'm sure we could at least get something from the MLS
Maybe a couple mil but couldn't see over $5m as he's 37, alot of the older players who come to MLS like gerard and pirlo are on free transfers.

I actually think he might come back in when he's fit. This doesn't fill me with hope that he's been dropped

But Martinez refused to be drawn on whether Howard would step straight back in at the weekend against West Bromwich Albion
.

At the moment, Tim is injured so it would be ridiculous for me to mention that,” he said. “What we want is for Tim to be fit and Tim to be feeling himself and fighting for his position and at that moment I am sure it will be very easy to make the right call.”

Unfortunately that statement from the manager tells me that he will definitely reinstate Howard on his return. If he persisted with Robles there's no way a manager would say it would ever be "very easy" to make such a call and dump a longstanding #1.

Howard is the one area of life under Martinez that pains me. I can't out up with the madcap defending but his ignorance in this respect is terrible.

Stones will be back in as well if healthy, seems martinez doesn't want to bench players due to injury.

Can't believe for one second that Martinez will put Howard back in the team. If he does he will not only alienate the fan base, I'm sure he will cause disquiet amongst the players and there is every possibility Robles will slap in a transfer request. I would if I was him.
