His best game was Spurs away easiest game was Sat - improved on last season which was not hard to do, but looks a bit better I agree!Long way to go this season Joe but it's nice to see Howard getting this deserved acknowledgement.

He sure was just like chelskis keeper was for Naismiths 2nd goal!I might be misuderstanding your post apologies if so but are you actually trying to say that Howard was standing on his 6 yard line when Matic shot on Sat?
because they need something to moan about. we beat the champs 3-1 but people dwell on the one negativeWas a heck of a hit from Matic. Fair play to him. Why are people still talking about it?
Yes on MOTD he was on his six yard line your video does not play ok!
The debate is about some modern Keepers standing constantly on their six yard box, nothing to do with TH being able to save the shot!because they need something to moan about. we beat the champs 3-1 but people dwell on the one negative
fair enough. like you said it just seems to be the way things are done nowadays across the board. Everyone wanted Begovic to come here and the last two goals he gave up to naismith wouldve caused outrage on here if Tim did the same. Outside of very few keepers (like de gea, neuer, etc) all keepers these days are going to have errors in them. That being said I don't think there was anything wrong with Howards positioning onThe debate is about some modern Keepers standing constantly on their six yard box, nothing to do with TH being able to save the shot!
If you notice it must be a modern trend as how often do you see a keeper tip a ball around the post for a corner they are that far out they seem to palm or punch it anywhere, its a modern trait in keeping I have noticed.fair enough. like you said it just seems to be the way things are done nowadays across the board. Matic's shot.
To me he was trying to reposition his feet not move forwards it was a worldwide shot Ok!And also, at that point Matic has just took his shot, prior to him lining it up Howard was even further back but had moved forward to the position in that pic as he took the shot.

2nd goal from Naismith he is way out of position his dive is flat on the six yard box ok!

Go to spec savers!lol oh yes a shot comes in and he dives forwards he is on his six yard box when he lands hence my claim totally out of position if he had been central further back tipped around for a corner thank goodness he was in the wrong position- for a left footed daisy cutter pinpointed into the corner thank goodness he was rubbish on the 2nd and 3rd goal!Lol, he's about 4-5 yards out when Naismith shoots.
Of course he might end up on the 6 yard line after he's dived but thats's not a problem, you generally dive slightly forward.
Unless thats my comp playing up again
Sure, he could be a little bit further back, say about 3 yards min off his line but anywehere between 3--5 yards for a starting position is ok, difference just comes down to the keepers personel preference really.
