Never personally said a word to the utter clown, infact, it disgusts me that "fans" have a pop at players during games, im not sure how they think its ever gonna help.

This... However you feel about any of the individuals on the pitch, when they're on the pitch representing our shirt and our badge which they've leased against our freehold, the only option is to support them, individually and collectively.

I tend to disagree slightly. I believe the fans only become vocal towards players (like Howard) because they want whats best for Everton F.C. They voice their opinion mid-game in the hope that Martinez becomes aware to their distaste. A live game may be the only environment where Martinez is forced to listen, hence why you can situations like these. The fans, in a weird way, are trying to help

Agree but when he has been under performing for 18 months it does get a bit frustrating.

Behave Martinez you talking [Poor language removed] again.[/QUOTE]

Martinez clearly knows that himself but needs must at the moment and if he doesn't feel Robles is good enough or if he doesn't want to completely banish Howard at this moment in time then it makes sense to just keep supporting him.

I think it's quite clear to everyone that Martinez obviously has doubts about him and as soon as the player he wants/money is a valuable Howard will be gone. I have no doubt come next August he won't be starting, hopefully by February he won't be starting. But if ever a phrase told you he's just playing the game, that is the one there as there's no way Howard is in his long term plans.

I still wouldn't be surprised to see Robles start tonight.

When was the last time he had a really good game? The World Cup? I can't remember finishing a game in the last couple of years thinking it's great we got Timmy in the nets.

The lad has been here + no1 for nearly 10yrs now + with keepers experience plays a big role on a managers mind, also how often do you see a keeper get dropped halfway through a season, so tim does have a lot of help behind him before quality/performances are even taken into account. Bobby will b seeing the same as you and me but you wont see a replacement/robbles take over that spot till preseason when they have time to prepare them for role, it just doesnt work the same as outfield players

Linked with Ospina in today's Mail but it says that Arsenal want to hold onto him until the summer. Could well be that we have a decent target for the end of the season but we just have to go with what we have for the rest of it. All kinds of things factor into the equation if we are planning on getting rid at some point, including the potential resale value of US international keeper vs someone who has been relegated to backup position.

No, he can't, unfortunately. If Howard put up 17 clean sheets between now and the end of the season, there's a big portion of the fan base who would still be unhappy with him.

HAHAHA 17 clean sheets, imagine. Unfortunately the opposition are probably going to have some shots against us in most of those games, rendering that particular outcome impossible
