Tim Howard

Think he might offer him an extension by the sound of it. A wage increase to keep him here instead of the MLS.

New American owners might want him for a commercial push in the states, probably want him made captain.

The Everton manager, however, refused to be drawn on Howard’s long-term plans should his relationship with supporters come under further strain. Howard is under contract at Everton until 2018 having been awarded a four-year extension in Martínez’s first season at the club. But the manager admitted there is doubt over the keeper’s intentions beyond this summer.

“It is impossible to say that,” said Martínez when asked if Howard would be at Everton next season. “We need to take it game by game and week by week. I want Tim to feel stronger in every game. Watching him in training I don’t see a sign of weakness or him being worn down or tired. It is the opposite. He is up for the challenge, up for helping the team and keeping up standards. I’m sure every experience will affect what you want to do in the summer.

“We shouldn’t look that far away. We are here with a real focus of winning on Wednesday. That is all that matters. We have a incredible squad, a group of players here that I’m excited about and I’m looking forward to seeing them develop and Tim Howard is a big part of that. Whatever happens at the end of the season you cannot guess it now and it would be wrong to try to guess that.”
Roberto interpreter: "he's leaving in 18 games time".

He's starting if people like it or not, we need to get behind him. Otherwise it will only exacerbate the tension.

Support the lad and let's reassess in the summer.

Never personally said a word to the utter clown, infact, it disgusts me that "fans" have a pop at players during games, im not sure how they think its ever gonna help.

This... However you feel about any of the individuals on the pitch, when they're on the pitch representing our shirt and our badge which they've leased against our freehold, the only option is to support them, individually and collectively.

I can remember the stick a young Joe Royle, Colin Harvey,(playing as a foreward) Howard Kendall got when first entering the team, Tim has to rise above it, and prove himself, his off the pitch comments do not help though, his reactions to our fans don,t help much either- the other players mentioned above proved their points on the pitch can Tim?

No, he can't, unfortunately. If Howard put up 17 clean sheets between now and the end of the season, there's a big portion of the fan base who would still be unhappy with him.

Of course one should not heckle or boo a player in your team and in the case of Howard the fans have shown
great restraint and fortitude. He has been in decline for a long time and has put in some horrible performances
yet fans do not boo him.

The whole situation is difficult to understand. Robles played better than him last season and was rewarded by being dropped. This season Howard has been pants again and Robles, when he has played has been ok, but is still not picked.

RM says that Howard's experience is invaluable: I say Howard cannot catch a high ball in the six yard box.

Worst part is you can physically see the players and fans don't have confidence in him as a player I haven't cringed this much at a regular for us since Neville was contstantly playing
