You said there's not a lot of good goalkeepers around full stop, which is tosh. There's loads of good keepers, and if our scouts are doing their jobs we'll have a new, solid, reliable keeper in place in the next 12-18 months

I'm not arguing with you, I'm looking to be put straight. If you asked me to name five goalkeepers that Everton could buy to replace Howard I would honestly struggle. I read in one of the newspapers at the weekend we were in the running for Jack Butland for £20 million. He is a good keeper, but is he worth that amount.

Half the keepers in bundersliga would be below that and theyre all better than starjumps

So according to Mister America the fans can't enthusiastically celebrate last second goals now?Pathetic and a new low from this man.It seems that everyone is to blame for everything except Mister America himself. This man is being paid obscene amounts of money to save goals and he has the cheek to attack cash strapped supporters for the team bottling a game that they should have won.I also thought his comments in his book about the 2009 FA cup semi final win over Man United were very self absorbed. The main source of his joy seemed to be getting one over his former employers as opposed to Everton winning. In Mister Americas world Mister America is number one and Everton is number two.

except there was plenty of people on here who said the same thing about time being added on due to the fans. he also never blamed anyone for the lose,in the article he said time was added on due to fans coming on to the pitch which is true. However the whole team, himself included, shouldve focused and not conceded in the last 30 secs of added time nor given up 2 goals in the last 10 minutes by sitting off. Was it a smart thing for him to say? Of course not. The whole team turned in an awful 2nd half performance and they really need to step up vs boro tomorrow. The over the top rhetoric on here is ridiculous. not liking fans on the pitch apparently is the same as saying they can't celebrate at all, saying time was added on= a cheeky attack. I read plenty of comments in the match thread from fellow blues who said the same things Howard said. Waiting for the typical "hur dur hur you're an american go watch hand egg clown" response, despite the fact I wouldn't be saying anything differently if Martinez, Ossie, Rom, Coleman whoever said it

since Arsenal Howard as been fine and made some excellent saves. Seems like every goal that goes in he gets the blame for when he could do f all about the 3 on Saturday.

I would like butland to replace Howard too, but watch the goals stoke conceded on Saturday and imagine it was Everton conceding those and howard was in goal. People on here would be all over it criticising Howard but perfectly happy with butlands positioning for those goals. All goalkeepers have faults.

Support him while he's being picked coz he is honestly the best we have in that position and the transfer window is closed.

Yes, I do mean this season. Regardless, his prem stats are pretty impressive. Over his career, he saves 1 in 3 pens.

His career is in a nosedive though. His stats from years ago are irrelevant in my opinion.

I don't see how you can say he's better than Robles anymore.

Shame his other stats aren't quite as impressive

Was it something like for every 2.5 shots on target last season one ended up in our net

The worst stats in the league

Says it all.
