Tim Howard

He did well and if I managed Everton, I'd play him first, but I don't and the fella who does reckons that as long as Howard is fit, he starts in the league. Everyone knows this. He's had a couple of bad games this season but posting crap on his social media and hassling him from behind the goal isn't going to make the situation better. The way I see it, come on here when he has a howler and complain, otherwise, like at the weekend, leave him off because moaning about him 24/7 isn't helping anyone.
It's a forum , and imo Tim has been poor over the last 18 months, like Ovideo he should not be selected when we have better cover in Robles, and Galoway OK!

Yea, I know. I'm just pointing out that it's been done to death, sometimes it's warranted, sometimes not so much. Anyhoo, bring on the hammers!

What worried me he was static once he got back on his line never even bothered diving for it very static on our line is Tim!
oh yeah it's a weakness, and that probably isn't going to change at 36/37 and the position is still a massive problem for us, and hopefully Martinez's private stance is very different to his public one, but I wouldn't blame him for that goal, he's still utter tosh though

I've looked at that 2nd goal quite a few times now and I don't see how Howard could come for that without taking a massive risk. He was too far away and the ball was coming in fast. From what I saw, Howard had a pretty good game with a real good save on Defoe's first shot.

We still need to look for a long-term upgrade at the position but it seems a bit silly to try and criticize Howard over the Sunderland match.
Don't know if it got mentioned in the match thread but he actually left his line and caught one early on in the game.
