Tim Howard

I've looked at that 2nd goal quite a few times now and I don't see how Howard could come for that without taking a massive risk. He was too far away and the ball was coming in fast. From what I saw, Howard had a pretty good game with a real good save on Defoe's first shot.

We still need to look for a long-term upgrade at the position but it seems a bit silly to try and criticize Howard over the Sunderland match.

It's a really good cross right into that area of uncertainty, it's undoubtedly a weak area for Howard so in some ways he brings criticism on himself, but it wasn't his fault, and I was actually pleased with how he stayed taller on one on ones, which gave some indication that he has been working on that in training, no doubt in my mind he has to be replaced still

Robles didn't get dropped Joe, he got given a game to keep him fresh.

He's just like the other 4 players that started on Tuesday who can't hold down a first team place and needed some competitive football to keep them ticking over.
Doug FGS Tims performance v Arsenal away was enough for him to be dropped the week before so we have to score 3-4 goals to warrant a win now that's another two let in!

What worried me he was static once he got back on his line never even bothered diving for it very static on our line is Tim!

Robles was more than fine on Tuesday yet he got dropped?
He did well and if I managed Everton, I'd play him first, but I don't and the fella who does reckons that as long as Howard is fit, he starts in the league. Everyone knows this. He's had a couple of bad games this season but posting crap on his social media and hassling him from behind the goal isn't going to make the situation better. The way I see it, come on here when he has a howler and complain, otherwise, like at the weekend, leave him off because moaning about him 24/7 isn't helping anyone.

Only a couple?

Only a couple?
yea
also had one very good game.
Look I'm not arguing that he's the next Southall. I think Joel deserves a start. I expect a slating after the Arsenal performance but I'm sick of the hysterics after a 6-2 win where he was beaten by a deflection and undone by some shocking defending. His distribution was good and he made a couple of good saves. He was a solid 6. Not great, not terrible and certainly not worth moaning about on a morning after a 6-2 win.

He's out of form and robles deserves a run of a few games ,having said that TH made a good save at 0-0 which could have changed the course of the game. The second Goal he is being blamed for was a catalogue of errors starting with Gerry getting caught up field, leaving seamus with 2 .the guy puts in a perfect cross because seamus can't mark 2 and RFM gets bullied by Fletcher (who did well against him all game).
