Tim Howard

I know I keep saying it but we need a new keeper, 4 of the last 7 goals conceded have been from 6 yards out. That doesn't happen with a tall commanding keeper. Whatever about him being crap on crosses his distribution is the worse among keepers. Absolutely awful

........I get the calls for a replacement but let's not forget that Howard has been a fine purchase and servant, plenty of USA, USA chants over the years. His time might be coming to an end but he deserves better than vitriol and bitterness.

Howard is in more of a prime position and prone to more criticism being a keeper as he has no hiding place. Just hope he is dropped and Robles given a chance to prove himself now, though it wasn't that long ago Howard stopped us losing at Spurs with a MOTM performance.

His time has come to an end mate and it is not a recent thing he has never been a great keeper but over the last couple of years his mistakes far out weigh the hollywood saves which use to cover the cracks. I dont like to be see players getting slatted and you cant blame him for wanting to play when picked the blame rests with the manager can he not see what everybody else sees?.I would have gone after Heaton at Burnley in the summer would he have signed a new contract in the summer if he could of come to us?
As for him being a fine servant there is no room for sentiment in football Peter Reid was getting abuse near the end of his tenure(which was disgraceful) and he contributed far more to the cause than Tim Howard ever has.

As was Distin but didn't stop it for him. Or Neville.

His time is up, just hope Bobby sees it and sorts it.

Sides will just keep putting it in there now knowing they have a chance every game. Need a new keeper and Robles has to be the one for now. Whether we can afford a new signing in January or not doesn't matter, Howard should not play.

think its been his time to go for 12+ mmonths the majority of us have seen this coming we need a keeper in January, Howard can go to the MLS get a big contract his kids live over there it suits all parties

The club also deserve better than to persevere with a past-it keeper. I agree we can't really blame Tim Howard himself, of course he'll play if picked...the responsibility lies with the manager.

As others said it's a natural cycle for respected players to get abuse as their form takes a permanent nose-dive. What successful managers like Alex Ferguson always did well was identify this before it negatively affected results, leaving the fans with mostly warm memories of older players.

Of course he had a massive budget, but even with Everton there's still room to out-maneuver Father Time.
