Beaten at your near post at that angle - is poor very poor.
And in the previous game he'd gone beyond where he needed to be to cover his near post -- and left it an easy job for Soldado to hit the ball across him and into a gaping net.

So how could a keeper playing in the PL try and knock back another keepers move? Did they share an agent? Did Friedel fancy a move to OT?

Whats the current attitude to Everton players having books published?

Something to do with Tim wanting Brad to write like a reference for him for his visa and Brad refused.

Sounds like a episode of home and away.

Wait what, an American Soccer Pro had asked or had to ask another US Soccer Pro for a reference? Of what? Who signed Luis Suarez's?

I just started rewatching the OS highlights (!) since I wasn't able to get a continuous stable 'viewing experience' last night. Fifteen seconds into the match, Howard receives the ball under no pressure, belts it into touch on the halfway line and proceeds to complain about something.

I might go and watch paint dry instead.

you mean after he got clattered in the 1st half and was clearly injured?? sound

anyone remember Joel's distribution?

Whats he actually done other than flapped a few times, and a couple of poor kicks on what was a shocking pitch.

Howards costing us points not 1 or 2, but several.

Joel certainly wouldnt do any worse, give the lad a go, let him build a bond with his back 4 and grow confidence and if hes then not good, fair enough, but hes not been given a good enough chance.

didnt come for a long ball at home to Stevenage that the forward just kept in at the by line which cost us a goal, he totally missed the shot from ramierez that went through him then he caused the back 4 to drop 5\10 yards deeper against arsenal

He made some decent stops vs Stevenage.

You're American aren't you ?

It seems rather than making himself big he is really tight and small and gets beat almost all the time.

Another issue is his jumping on the spot for free kicks. Remember the gerrard goal this season? He didnt react to that untill the ball was well over the wall because he was mid air when the ball was struck. If you youtube it they analyse it well on monday night football.

I havent looked to see if he does the same thing for larrsons goal a few weeks ago. But I bet he does.

you mean the technique that pretty much every keeper in the world uses?

first free kick video on youtube
