Tim Howard

He has been awful this season and a strong manager would have dropped him.
I don't rate robles but Martinez must or he would not have bought him.

I just started rewatching the OS highlights (!) since I wasn't able to get a continuous stable 'viewing experience' last night. Fifteen seconds into the match, Howard receives the ball under no pressure, belts it into touch on the halfway line and proceeds to complain about something.

I might go and watch paint dry instead.

I dunno about "getting rid" though. I like Howard, he does give his all, and has some great performances. He's been on the whole pretty average this season, which is weird because he was a boss at the WC. He's a tough guy to dislike, really want him to find some consistency.

At a club like everton we dont have £50 million to just get rid of Howard, Pienaar, Distin, Alcaraz, Hibbert and Osman. We need to slowly change the regime, a couple of free agents in january would allow us to change at least two of the above. Honestly though i would rather sell Robles and have Howard in Reserve.

He dropped a cross one time and chucked a strop at Jelavic who was blown up for a foul.

TV evidence clearly shows there was no foul.

Problem is his wages, hes on far to much to be a back up, not to mention his ego wouldnt allow it.

If someone in the MLS make a cash offer, shouldnt be sentimental, just get rid

Won't be any "free agents" available in January that haven't got clubs now.

I'm done with him now, dreadful mistakes every game, moaning at anyone and time wasting when we're drawing with hull.

Joel in, then a new keeper in Jan

Joel?!?! and if you think it is bad now....
Whats he actually done other than flapped a few times, and a couple of poor kicks on what was a shocking pitch.

Howards costing us points not 1 or 2, but several.

Joel certainly wouldnt do any worse, give the lad a go, let him build a bond with his back 4 and grow confidence and if hes then not good, fair enough, but hes not been given a good enough chance.

What i mean is you can get pre contract agreements with players abroad, it would then allow us to sell or release the likes of Pienaar, who i think is a tidy player but cant seem to shake injuries.

He was generally awful for Wigan apart from the occasional match of the day saves, and when he played for us in the cups last year looked exactly the same. He's like a cat on a hot tin roof and his uncertainty puts the defence on tenderhooks, if ever there was a time for introducing a goalkeeper who's erratic now wouldn't be it considering our confidence and self belief seems very fragile.

I can only judge him for us, and imo you cant expect a keeper to come in for the odd game and perform at there best level, they need a run.

TBH im just fed up of Howard, id have Big Nev back if it meant no more Howard
