Threat of villa

Can’t say I’m happy to see them get it right.
Next year is going to be struggle in the transfer market. Newcastle and villa have leaped frogged us in terms of preferences for similar type players.

Comfortably staying up, I think that was his remit for this season.

Acid test will be next season after a pre season and his signings bedded in.

Fibd Villa fascinating.

They are good on the eye & i think Gerrard is trying to replicate the way Liverpool play in terms of legging it around loads.

But i look at there team & the money spent and i just feel they should be doing better or there is something missing.

I dont think Mings & Konsa are as good as people make out (apart from Mings plays us and he turns into peak Ramos).
Cash & Digne play so high up the pitch that Douglas Luiz is asked to cover alot, and i dont think he has the engine to cover that much ground, with McGinn very much looking lost & ramsey having the attacking bomb on midfielder roll, they can be overly gung ho!

For what they have paid for there forwards (ings/buendia/watkins/bailey! They should be scoring more goals.

Coutinho should be at a better side.

Potential to do an 'us' in a year or 2

One of the dirtiest teams we have played in a while. Doherty out for the season and a couple if shockers on Kulusevski and Kane.....the ref let all of them go. Must be the Stevie Me effect.

Its been noticible whenever ive seen them mate, they like to leave a couple in on players.

Again, i hate to sound of conspiraciest, but i read somewere a few weeks ago, how Liverpools style of play only really works with Klopp 'managing the referee's' and the players on the pitch making sure they are calling and asking for everything.

That extra tough challenge gets written off as the style is so fast paced! That late tackle on an ankle just gets seen as mistimed! And if Villa are copying that style, which whenever i've seen them it is deffo what they look like they are trying to do! Mings is going to break someones leg the way he goes charging around!

100% right on mings, I wrote a post about it a few months back. I'm really shocked he hasn't badly injured someone yet.
