Lot of money spent to end up in the same position as last year

Time for them yet but they could easily "Do an Everton"
 

They’ve been poor now since they beat us, Gerrard been found out. Be interesting to see how they do next season and whether they give him time.

They were poor against us.

The difference is Gerrard knew how to play the crowd, whilst Ferguson is never really a manager.

From the go, they frustrated the crowd, by wasting time, diving and being sly.

Did a fantastic job at Rangers and they don’t seem bad attack wise, but wasted a lot of money on well, very little.

Bailey flop of the season?
 
Think they need a decent centre-half to replace Mings, and a better defensive midfielder. They seem to play without any structure at all, and trying to squeeze Watkins and Ings into the same team doesn't work at all for the most part.
 
So I guess they won't end up buying Coutinho after all. Good initial impact but done nothing for a few months now.

The new management team at burnley will need to make their impact here. Dyche was having a bad season but he was a Wiley old fox and I Burnley could do with that now. Going to villa after being turned over like that on Saturday will need some sort of tactical overhaul.
Feel Dyche and dean smitg both got sacked prematurely and neither team will be better in the long run for it

Villa are another Everton - signing players like Coutinho, Ings and Digne in that 28-29 age bracket on big contracts.

They got lucky Guardiola gifted them £100 million for Grealish otherwise think they'll be in a similiar FFP mess as us.

Lets hope someone gifts us a big fee for DCL this summer so we can go again.
 
Courinho for £20m - not bad on paper.
Reckon he has already played his best games for them though. Diminishing returns next season on a big contract.
Buendia is the one going to lose in this deal. Wonder if he will be available in the summer. Id take him
