2025/26 Thierno Barry

Going to have to have a look at his goals and general play again as I’m thinking his finishing is bang average (at best) - especially considering some of the sitters he’s missed.
Likewise what people are seeing that suggests potential, I think he looks like he never really seems to have control of the ball.

I think when you compare him to Beto, Barry is an all round much better footballer, in terms of his control and passing. In terms of the chances he gets in the box, I think he lacks composure, some of those chances he has had at close range that have gone very wide, look bad and he is sort of snatching at chances. This could be because he is too in his head in those moments and sort of overthinking it. Also I think defenders in the premier league are better than in Spain and Switzerland.

when you look at his overall stats, hes had 6 goals in 31 games (19 starts). in that time he has only had 32 shots and 10 have been on target! When I watch our games, I dont feel like we create anywhere near enough chances and sometimes, maybe more in the early part of the season, I felt when Barry got the ball he was taking too long to get his shot away, taking an extra touch and the chance would be gone.

I would love to see us get more crosses into the box, because half his goals came from crosses when he was with Villareal.

What, you not saying “I forgot he was in a car crash”?
I didn't forget anything, I know exactly what happened with Antonio.
Read the post again..

I'm going to give you a helping hand here, stop spending so much of your time looking for snippets in a post you can jump on, it's going to come back and bite you..

When you're offered a chance out, grab it..

It doesn’t.
Mate, you have just messed up.
accept it, or find me a single other person that comes to your conclusion from that post.

You dig and dig, and counter back with such weak responses.
there is nothing wrong with reading a post wrong, everyone does it. But stop fighting a losing battle..

The amount of people that would come back hard on you in these debates, but I give you a way out with no angry responses and you refuse to take it..

One day it's a haircut, the next day it's a car crash 🤷‍♂️

Well..looking at individual seasons.. Bowen scored 20, 18 and 13 under Moyes. Defoe 15, Yak 21, Rooney 19, Van Persie 18, Saha 13, Fellaini 11, Arnautovic 11, Soucek 10 and 10, Vela 10, Antonio 14, 13 and 10, Beattie 11, Cahill 10, Johnson 10, Campbell 10, Welbeck 10.

Probably missed loads, but not as impossible as you may imagine to get double figures in a Moyes side.
Around half those you quoted were hovering around or under the ceiling of 12....not really sure what your point is. Do you think anyone we could afford would get enough chances to bag over 12 a season?

My point is most of those are nowhere near the level of Kane or Haaland in terms of scoring goals, so to suggest they would struggle to score 10 is a bit daft.
