We are not! We are in what's known as the 2nd tier in the Prem table. Would have been Top 6 weeks ago if we had a decent / reliable striker. We are?

He looks a bit gangly and clumsy to me but I'm going to withhold final judgement until he's playing without a dislocated shoulder. This is a common fallacy that says they'd do the exact same off the ball as Barry.
They'd get much better numbers than Barry due to them being more complete footballers, keeping defenders occupied, working space, making good runs, linking up better with solid passes, even taking a couple of touches and switching play to the other side of the field.
They'd increase Everton's attacking ability as a team. This isn't 1986 and the 9 will stand up front and do nothing but tap ins. The modern game needs more complete footballers and this lad lacks so many basic skills a professional should have.
That's not actually true though is it.We are not! We are in what's known as the 2nd tier in the Prem table. Would have been Top 6 weeks ago if we had a decent / reliable striker.
How much do they cost though and who was available? In nearly 35 years of actively following Everton I think we have only signed 5 decent strikers, Ferguson, Campbell, Yak, Saha and Lukaku. And Ferguson, Campbell and Saha were either old, injury prone or both.We are not! We are in what's known as the 2nd tier in the Prem table. Literally no one mate, only Barry was available for the pennies we paid there. In the entire world, no less. How much do they cost though and who was available? He was awfulNiasse goal per minutes is actually second only to Lukaku I think in our prem era?
Worthy of his king title. Man didn't even have a locker and he still turns up to everton games occasionally to this day.
With our track record of strikers, and having been in a relegation battle for years, you think we're getting anyone good join us? This summer might be different.Literally no one mate, only Barry was available for the pennies we paid there. In the entire world, no less.
Can they heal fully? The few people I've come across that had shoulders that pop out just had to have someone pop them back in and carry on as best they could. He looks a bit gangly and clumsy to me but I'm going to withhold final judgement until he's playing without a dislocated shoulder.
Sarcasm is cheap and easy. I noticed that you were less forthcoming with names though???Literally no one mate, only Barry was available for the pennies we paid there. In the entire world, no less.
No idea but I can’t imagine how hard it is to play at full tilt with the fear of your shoulder popping out at any moment. Can they heal fully? The few people I've come across that had shoulders that pop out just had to have someone pop them back in and carry on as best they could.
Yes, had we scouted someone. Like I get what you're saying, but Thierno Barry was the only striker in Europe willing to join us?With our track record of strikers, and having been in a relegation battle for years, you think we're getting anyone good join us? This summer might be different.
No mate, no one in the world would be swayed by money and the PL, and we aren't allowed to use our scouts too, you're right.Sarcasm is cheap and easy. I noticed that you were less forthcoming with names though???
I think there's an operation to pin the shoulder. That's the only thing I've heard of regarding dislocations. Can they heal fully? The few people I've come across that had shoulders that pop out just had to have someone pop them back in and carry on as best they could.
You shouldn't be playing football if you're carrying fear..No idea but I can’t imagine how hard it is to play at full tilt with the fear of your shoulder popping out at any moment.
Barry could have been the best striker available to us that would agree to joining us. It's very possible. It's easy to forget how bad we've been.Yes, had we scouted someone. Like I get what you're saying, but Thierno Barry was the only striker in Europe willing to join us?
