2025/26 Thierno Barry

no. okay celebrate but run straight back with the ball, you were trailing v Leeds at home, draw is not smth to celebrate for
Totally get it and he should have but I think he's still riding the high of finally finding his feet in the prem and Everton, and I'm all for a bit of passion. I'm sure in time scoring an equaliser won't mean as much as scoring a winner for him, but let's give the benefit of the doubt whilst he's putting them in the net.

DCL had a few seasons to develop his all round #9 game, most of them without scoring much. He might have been a bit younger than Barry but he still wasn’t a natural prem 9 until his 3rd / 4th season. Barry much the same but is starting to show a knack for goals

There was maybe a 20 min period in a game I was at years back, Lukaku and DCL linking up upfront after spending most of his appearances on the wing and we were playing really well that made me think he'd be the perfect foil for Rom. One of them went off injured, I think it was DCL.

We never really saw that again and I still think that's when he's at his best, alongside a proper striker

Was just about to post his celebrations are beginning to grate a bit
Fair enough when it’s putting us ahead but in games like this to equalise seems a little tone deaf.

Still I’d rather be mildly annoyed at them than not see them at all I guess.

Theres a lot that he doesnt do well clearly but....as before, hes struck the ball quite well when given the chance. Hes basically the anti-DCL right now.

If he manages to score next match, he will have a better scoring record this season than DCL had in any season but 1.

He needs to wrestle the ball from the keeper in the nets then frowny face all the way to the centre circle with the ball under one arm making angry upwards fists to the crowd with the other

A nice goal, he took it well but spent at least a good 40-45 seconds celebrating, some weird dancing there. A club of Everton calibre should never celebrate an equaliser at home v Leeds. Take the ball and run to your half.

Maybe Tarkowski should ve given him a heads up with the scoreboard but he himself was a bigger loser so

Playing with a smile on his face now, brilliant to see. Clearly he can finish because all his goals so far have been excellently taken. Just need to get the ball in front of him more and he could do with peeling his off his man faster. But I'm made up with how much everyone is behind him and clearly it's helped him a lot. We're not an unreasonable fanbase (most of the time), we just want maximum effort and a level of consistency.

Barry is gaining confidence now only have to look his celebration. Loved it. What a goal too and shows he’s got an eye for goal. Confidence is key. It’s a completely new league new team takes time now he’s gaining confidence there’s certainly more to come. I’m really happy for him

Delighted for the lad that he’s beginning to find the net, seems more confident each game. It’s still painful however, that Everton scouts still can’t manage to find a forward, who doesn’t have a 1st touch like Jack the Ripper.

Nice goal, and that shot that was saved was sublime too off the outside of his boot. It'd be interesting to see what he'd do if we created more chances for him. On the downside, he still looks lightweight and bambi-esque at times with the ball at his feet.

First half DCL looked twice the player, second half was the exact opposite.
