I guess that i just assumed that it was like here. People (many of them well-meaning but stupid) really just want change for the better and all three of the Democrat options seem to just have been offering more establishment rhetoric which means nowt to the average person. They didn't do enough to get your average Joe/Jill to understand that they really did care and wanted things to get better for them. Maybe I'm wrong (you live there so you're obviously gonna know better then me) but I sincerly belive that there are more good people in this world then there are bad. I think those good people have been let down in the states by appallingly bad leadership from the Democrats.

They may well be good people at heart, but thanks to their media diet, they don’t inhabit reality. I’ve jokingly called it the MAGA Cinematic Universe on there before, but that’s the best way I know how to describe it. An entirely fictional universe contrived by right-wing media and fed nonstop to them for 2-3 decades.

I'm not an advocate of forcing people back to the office full-time (it has to meet workers lifestyle).

But it is a major factor why the high street, pubs etc, are dying and why the you can't get hold of anyone via the council.
