I'm clearly not.

Must have been one of those secretive bids that don't get leaked then.

I thought EDD was the resident Utd ITK.

Because Everton are the best he could do, which is a compliment rather than an insult. Well it is if you are actually good enough for Everton, which Ossie has proven to be over the years, rather than the numerous frauds that we continue to have to this day.

He's never been a guaranteed starter at Everton, but he's been a great squad player, his contribution has been considerable and I bet you his career highlights video looks boss. He's scored some crackers over the years Ossie! Even now, he has more of an effect on a game than some of our other players, and he's at the end of his career.

I will add that he really struggles on the wings and as a CM as well, but he has been an effective attacking central midfielder/forward.

Maybe playing him down a bit there even. From about 2005 onwards, when Osman is fit he plays and we play better end of. The same lot will say otherwise but this season showed what a lot already knew. Osman has great touch, agility and creativity. He can pass and move and knows how to manipulate the ball. He's slow weak and is increasingly getting more unfit but this still puts him ahead of the majority of the squad. Over the last ten years central midfielders and wide players have come and gone but none have displaced Leon Osman. Some people for odd reasons blame Osman for this, or the two managers that kept picking him, but the truth is most players who have passed through Everton in the last decade have not been able to match his professionalism, dedication, work rate, intelligence, or quite frankly ability. This is especially true of the current frauds in the squad. I used to look forward to Osnan's retirement because I thought we'd have replaced him with top quality. Now I'm praying him and Pienaar are fit next season. Two 35 year olds, depressing really.

I don't get the hype around Ross Barkley - he has bags of potential but only shows it four or five times a season. Or in this season's case once. Got a lot to live up to if he's as good as some people think he is.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be proved wrong and him have a blinder next season but right now he's too inconsistent to be anywhere near the £50M+ being labelled...

That said, he's young and needs time to improve without being belted about a bad touch or bad pass. He doesn't help himself sometimes though when he's meant to be a creative midfielder...

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti: We tried really hard to sign Paul Scholes, we even gave Man United a blank cheque. We spoke to him, but his reply was short and simple - "If you want me to play for you, you would have to buy this club." One of a kind, he didn't even have an agent, so it was hard enough.

Oh right thanks.

@Brennan now I accept Scholes was a good player and Osman isn't..
