He isn't. And besides, the fee we paid was too high for a "decent squad player" who has huge fitness issues.
He did not have fitness issues before he came, not to the extent we have seen. Forget the fee, I don't mind him coming off the becnh, he has decent movement.
Very nearly stopped reading here.
McGeady is boss lad. But opinions etc.
Correct. He is an AWFUL cost effective backup.
Again, opinions like, but I like that he can play football, and that he attacks set pieces. 10k he is meant to be on.
Not gonna jump all over this without hearing your reasoning... but I suspect we'd disagree.
This season, the main reason we have struggled in my opinion, is other teams shutting down our full backs, like they have never done before. As a result, our fullbacks are not nearly as effective. Add to this Coleman's individual form this year, and whilst he is still very good, I think he is the most replaceable.
There's plenty who should be leaving before Oviedo does. And Coleman is not one of them.
We have 3 left backs. Garbutt is boss. Baines is boss. Oviedo is decent.
Agree 100%

He's not brilliant by any means, but he's better than McGeady, Kone and Alcaraz.
He can't pass the ball, something these 3 can all do. He also really really struggles with the concept of turning around. He only ever plays the way he is facing. Infuriating.
I think he's reached the end of his usefulness to us.
I think he should be phased out slowly, but I am not gutted to see him on the team sheet. The likes of Hibbert, Howard, Naismith, Distin and Barkley on the wing are all much much worse. Gibson should start when fit though.
