I'll have a stab at it: he's an aristocrat who went straight out of Eton into Oxford University and then onto a career path as a slimy PR advisor to the Conservative Party where he's tried to cover up all their right wing tendencies and elitism - aided and abetted by a fawning media.

I hate conservatives and all they stand for. They make my flesh crawl with all their Labour Isn't Working etc. The thought of that bitch having a state funeral when she finally pops her clogs is making me froth at the mouth with rage.
If anyone can explain to me why working class people like me should ever vote for a bunch of sodding toffs then I'd like to hear it.
That bloody woman destroyed a generation, if not two generations of people's aspirations, she took away their dignity and all hope of ever being able to feed their family. She took away their future and gave them the dole queue. She took away the idea that we are all part of a society and we should all look out for eachother. She waged a hideous war against the trade union movement with a treachery and spitefulness that is beyond comprehension.
That bloody woman made us all fight for scraps, she made us fight for a job, she made us hate our neighbour because they had a job and we didnt.
She made people think that by buying their council house they were buying into being middle class.
The legacy of her reign of terror will live with me and anyone who lived through the horrors of the 80's for the rest of their lives.
You see kids growing up with no respect, no education, no future - just look back to their parents and grandparents and I bet you nine times out of ten, someone will have been laid to waste because of the policies of the tories in the past.

I've got to be honest, I think they're all public schoolboys, labour, Tories, Lib dems, they're all career politicians, the problem i have is that whoever you vote for, you just get more of the same, self serving smarmy A holes looking to get mo money, back handers galore and screw the little guy. the few at the top of the pyramid seem to screw the many at the bottom, and yet there are more votes available at the bottom but no one that you can vote for who will serve the people and not serve themselves, we should have a none of the above protest vote available.

Cameroen is so frigging slimy its untrue while i think Brown balls'd up a few times i dont doubt for a moment had the tories been in charge during the financial crapstorm that hit and the problems that followed it we'd have headed right into a depression,not a recession.

you really can't see the effect that 'she' and 'they' have had on an awful lot of people bruce, rather than deride people and tell them that they are wrong, misinformed and should've done better for themselves, try looking at it from others point of view, rather than say that they have nothing else to moan about 'in the absence of bad results'.

I'm just amazed at this response. I am not moaning for the sake of not having something else to moan about. I don't know how old you are or where you come from or whether what happened way back then, had any impact on your life.
Believe me, I don't trust any politician - who was it that said 'he who seeks power should never be afforded it' but however badly a government may run the country, naturallly, depending on your point of view and where you are in the pecking order, you can be in favour or not.
Politicians are like cigarettes, all bad for you but some are less bad than others.
In my humble opinion, the Tory government led by Thatcher was as close as it could get to being a dictatorship. I still bear the mental scars of those years and until my dying day I will never forget what she did with her henchmen like Tebbit, Portillo and others in tow, to a whole section of the British people, people like me and obviously many others on this forum. Some people are far too young to have lived through it but I did.
I have indeed grasped that politicians are corrupt and only there for their own ends but forgive me for having my say about a series of events that sealed the destiny of millions of hard working people who had the misfortune, at that time, to be manual workers, or living in filthy Liverpool, or just NOT being the sort of person that the Tory party wanted to thrive.
Your comments about me and others moaning is uncalled for, it also is an insult to my and other people's intelligence.

Anyone who thinks that all of the parties are the same are mistaken. As much as I cant stand the PR dominated class of chancers that define New Labour there is a difference between the way they'll pay for the deficit (caused by those in the financial system they gave a free hand to, along with other neo-liberal governments) and the way the Tories will tackle it. It's the same old story, and the elderly, the infirm and those least able to afford it will be squeezed by the Tories when alternatives that'd be less harmful to the majority would be forthcoming from Labour (like scrapping Trident and taxing those [Poor language removed] who made a killing in the last decade and a half).
By and large I find that people who say they are all the same would like a Conservative Government but are too embarrassed to say so. They just accuse others of grumbling.
