How can he sell a club that isn't for sale ? Time for a protest lids !!
Better still why not postpone it and let the negotiations take place, what would they be protesting about wanting a change of ownership ?

Totally agree, the BU should only demonstrate asking that the club be sold, once it's been sold !

This is looking on, i really dont think their is a way back form this from a PR point of view with the fans if it doesnt.

Surely they wouldnt say anything if they werent really confident!

This is Billy Liar we're talking about here mate. The feller created four fictional characters to see off a rival with a bogus *takoever*. You really think he wouldn t have the brass neck cheek to see this all out and remain holding onto his trainset?

ROFL!

I think Davey has broken ranks onit mate, and Elstone has never been that specific and said discussions are at early stages regarding a takeover/investment. Ive banged on here about no evidance of any interest and havnt thought there was much. I consider this and what Davey said as clear evidance of interest.

I for one have been holding my breath and really only trusting in the word from Foxy. This confirms everything Foxy has been saying but from the horses mouth as it were.
I want to thank the Blue fox for keeping my enthusiasm for this rumour alive everything he said seems to be true...right down to the progressing nicely and not overnight statements....In Foxy We Trust !

Do the bu wan't the club sold ? It would appear not, to a man they are more concerned in trying to kick up ****,these negotiations have been ongoing for some time and still have some way to go.
Let them get on with it, i say.

Elstone said this....
Of course, we fully understand what you want to know is will these discussions be successful? That I can't say. Discussions are still at an early stage.
Which is a bit more concrete than the same old same old that you mention...well it is for an optimistic old dreamer like me

To be honest if SunTanBob said it was raining outside I would wear sunblock and shorts.

But as the poster above says, Fox has said its on and his word I do trust.

I guess we watch this space.

Yet the OS continues to push daily, the "gossip" link a roundup of all Everton FC related gossip.

I give up, really I do.

Well, it's a bit like watching those slasher films: you only really relax when the loony is beheaded with an axe and then incinerated.

Bill wont go easily.

Hahaha I have this image of the Bunny Boiler movie in my head now.......after we are sold....the first home game BK rising out of the earth under the centre circle with a breadknife in his hand..........

It does seem like things are bubbling along. As others have already said, Elstone usually keeps his cards close to his chest on such issues. Granted, he hasn't exactly spilled the beans, but there are signs we are moving towards some sort of positive outcome. I know cynics are saying its all because of a forthcoming protest, maybe so, but I tend to thinks there's something in this. Fingers crossed, because they way things are going we badly need something to happen and quickly!!
