Our left-hand side worries me, which seems odd I know as it's our most potent attacking option. If we get injuries to Baines or Pienaar (or god help us both of them) who have we got to come in? Neville? Distin? Gueye? Maybe Mirallas could do a job out there? At the very least I would like to see us buy a solid left-back for cover.

Miralles has played on the left more than the right anyway so that isn't a problem. Also, I'm more than confident Gueye can make 7 or 8/10 performances on the left. I can't see us spending our limited funds on one of our stronger positions. I'd prefer to strengthen our first 11, which in turn then strengthens our squad and the only position I can see our funds improving is RB or RM. Although Miralles can play LW/RW or behind Jela which is where Felli has been playing. So we either start to struggle to fit in attacking players or push Felli back into a more orthodox Midfield position instead of Neville.

Everton play a dangerous game, waiting for last-minute bargains in the hope they pick us over other clubs in for them, which is why I am, once again, convinced Moyes will roll out there "We wanted to sign a few, but we couldn't complete any deals and will go with what we've got" line.

Disappointing, but I hope something can be done. The squad isn't strong enough to survive a few injuries and stay near the top six imo.

Wait til Jan and do what Spurs did to us with Pienaar and get players entering into the last 6 months of their contracts who'll walk for free at end of season. Dempsey and Holtby for £6/7m combined, and then get Donovan on loan. Will never happen but i'd be happy with no further signnigs this window if it was!

Quite possibly, but he's staking his 20 odd thousand followers on this one. Like I say, love him to be right on the Holtby 'info', but very much 99% expecting it to be nothing in which case he's going to getting a lot of negative tweets.
