We need Biglia, he's been linked with Norwich on loan but could easily get him if we tried.

Also Gouffran upfront and maybe Oviedo to cover LB.
This. Even if we didn't get the left back cover and used Distin. We all know he can play there well, and it still leaves us with two class centre backs and Duffy. LB can wait until next season if necessary. I'd deffo take those other two.

none of them are natural right wingers. naismith's main position is ACM whereas mirallas is a left mid, but obviously won't be budging pienaar, therefore i'd like to see him playing right. striker must be our priority if we're only going to make one signing. think if we do bring in a RM, barkley will be off on loan with the two mentioned above fighting for ACM.

Fellaini will surely be playing that role?

He's been excelling there like.

essien ? wages would be high but could you imagine and id like us to try and get rhodes he is young, talented and could fit our style of play

i am definately warming to him there, if he keeps scoring like he is atm i'm happy, just not totally convinced he is a great finisher. and the fact he's the best DM in the league bar none. believe moyes will play him there more often than not this season though

Its kind of alright heading in to the end of the window, knowing we get to sign players out of choice rather then our ability in fielding a squad of 18.

Ac Milan just pipped us to a transfer target as well. Always liked Inter tbf.

Hope we make a couple more signings. We have a good 16 man first team squad, just need strength in depth now. A good right winger and another forward is my prefered choices.

Think we all concur with that mate. The fact that Round was doing the press conference due to Moyes trying to sort out transfers is promising, as I am guessing he does not get involved that much until there is an agreement in principle between us and another club allowing him to speak to the player (naive as I am, strikes me as the kind of boss who does things the formal way, as that is what he would expect of other bosses wanting any of our players).

Then again, he could have just been getting an update from Bill to see if he could add the refund on Niang's Easyjet flight from Paris to his kitty

one permanent and one, maybe two loans is my guess, I reckon the permanent will be boss and surprise us all. the loans could be interesting too, like.

Still 3 days to go and it is kicking off tonight - Spurs starting to spend the Modric wedge on Dembele... Fulham using that to get Richardson... Usually feel quite depressed as a Toffee watching the merry-go-round at the end of every August and January knowing that the "we'll go with what we've got" press statement has already been written and cued up by now - but for once we have a bit of dosh in our pocket and seem to be out there having a go. Haven't felt this sense of anticipation since sitting up the extra hour waiting to hear whether the rumours of Felli signing were true or not. Happy ending that night, but suppose that could lead to an even greater disappointment this time if we don't manage to pull something out of the bag, knowing we had the chance.

Think I am more in the love it than hate it camp at the moment though.

Moyes and Round have both already said we're trying to add more players before the window shuts.
