What I'm trying to understand here is why would the Premier League help Spurs? Didn't they try to breakaway from the Premier League which would have destroyed the financial income for the Premier League??

Spurs are one of the PL media darlings, simply because of where they're located.They go down, it's bad for the brand. Can't have that happen.
And with the help of PSR and FFP and PGMOL, the breakaway league already exists to a large degree within the PL -- five of the current top six are the usual suspects. Spurs are the outlier, again.

I know your style is that of a WUM but I’m humouring it regardless today, do you honestly believe that the breakaway attempt has weakened the hand of the Big 6 rather than strengthened it when it comes to favourable treatment from the league? It was a power play, and the Big 6 came out of it with their boots on the faces of the league.

UEFA makes its own decisions for its competitions, that is correct.

But, UEFA is a member of FIFA like the other regions.
