The Spurs situation and Everton

Other than our away form this season, in any other season the one team you’d want to play at home to keep you up on the final day is us!

I think they’ll stay up, but I don’t think it’s because they’ll do anything remarkable. I think they’ll limp across the the line as I can see Forest, WH or even Leeds going on a poor run of form.

I'm the opposite. I can see all of West Ham, Forest and Leeds getting up to 39-40 points so that is going to make Spurs sweat big time especially as a couple of them will improve their goal differences more and Spurs one will probably get worse with some of the aways they had left.

It was a bit like this in 21/22 aswell.

Burnley took 14 points from 9 games before the final day so similar to what West Ham are doing.

Leeds took 15 points from final 10 games.

After the horrible Burnley defeat this club won 4 of their last 8 so the Arsenal match didn't matter at all luckily.

To have a serious chance of staying up Spurs need to win another three games as a minimum imo.

Let's not get too smug. Imagine we go there last game of the season and lose. Spurs just stay up and we just miss out on Europe. That would be so Everton! Of course the other way round and we relegate them and qualify for Europe would be amazing.
Can't see the latter happening as we're Everton and we're generally not allowed* nice things.

* WW1, WW2, Clive Thomas, Alan Hansen handball 1984, Hysel, Graham Poll Derby, Twatenberg Derby, points deductions etc.

With our dismal record down at Spurs I guess it would be typical “Everton that” to go there and relegate them on the last day😉😂👍

This season has been all about banishing poor records on away grounds, winning at Villa, Bournemouth and Man. United. Also hanging on to the Wolves win right at the start of the season was important for mentality as poor record at Molineux in recent times.

So don't see what the issue at Spurs would be. I know they won 3-0 up here in October but that game proved my point a bit, a ridiculous flattering scoreline for Spurs.

They are away to RS next week,so that is 6 defeats on the spin, even when they had Kane and Son at their peak they could never get a result there. Think they went from 1912 to 1984 without a win at that place.
