The Spurs situation and Everton

It's weird as going with what you would assume to be a pragmatic manager yet it backfired spectacularly after previously opting for a gung ho attacking manager , so it seems like a scattered approach to recruitment of players and managers has lead to this crisis, which we've already learned from our experiences

What can Everton learn from this?

This is why I think Dyche was slightly under appreciated, but then again I'm lucky to get to the ground 5-6 times a season and didn't pay a fortune for my family watch week in week out.

But I got slammed in responses saying Dyche was only doing the necessary after the stinking abhorrent mess left by mosh/bk/koeman and onwards until dyche came in ( ignoring temporary fixes from Unsy, Alladyce etc.)

We had delusions of Europe, spent big, lost our culture.

Spurs expected CL with the stadium, and successively fired managers that didn't achieve it. Slippery slope. They could drop. Nuno will keep hammers up I reckon ( sound manager ).

So it's forest, spurs or a Leeds collapse. Close. I feel spurs could scrape up but they've no better chance than forest or Leeds who maybe have a better mindset and managers for their circumstances.

Wouldn't be sorry to see spurs drop though, weird having a single family inherit a club, why should that guarantee success?

wild that nuno got binned off by spurs, forest and wolves (cant remember if he left or was fired from there).
He'll definitely have the bit between his teeth to get one over on them.

There’s a few things Spurs should really be doing right now to stave off relegation, some the tips from our recent past they should be trying are;

  1. A whodunit type episode where a CEO or other senior board member is allegedly put in a headlock by a fan.
  2. A German Shepard needs to be held aloft and carried round the ground through a throng of fans before a home kick off.
  3. Someone needs to get in Patrick Vieira’s grid the stick there fingers rar up at him.
If they start with that, they should start to pull away from the bottom 3 in no time.

I disagree Groucho. If this club hit the buffers right now we'd be in trouble. Relegated in fact.

No one can connect with this new place yet, and the dynamics around it of keeping people out (and not getting them to it efficiently enough) and denying our identity for corporate contract reasons would do for us. Championship team in the making if we're not VERY careful.

Clear difference in the fanbase....

When we were in peril we came together and created an atmosphere that made it impossible for the players to let us down....

Their lot are leaving at half time.....

Barring local rivalries them and Newcastle are the teams I like to see struggle most....

Years of being held back because players preferred a safe move to London or a couple more quid in the bank seeing us miss out on targets that could have seen us push on made me pretty bitter towards them...

Would love to see them go down
Was shocking to see thousands walk out at half time. Remember standing at half time in the Bullens end being 2 nil down against Palace not so long ago, what was billed relegation header. Was not aware of anyone who disappeared at half time.
Probably why we went on to win the match. Got to give the player's something to believe or they will just take the money and move on...
