The Sammy Lee Opinion Thread

People say this every time mate.

We could go back and find posts about Koeman's brother, Jan the happy physio man, you name it.

Why do people go so overboard after one game at home to Huddersfield?
I think there is a huge difference between Koeman the lesser and Lee.

The Liverpool connection is the most obvious but the fact that Sammy Lee looks like the [Poor language removed] child of Mickey Rooney and is so animated on the sideline that he cannot be ignored whereas the other man was almost completely invisible.

It is of course contigent on Everton having a level of success while Sammy Lee is at the club.

I think the fact he has agreed to come here says a lot about him. He may have been a lifelong RS player/supporter etc, but by coming to us he will have burnt all of those bridges as the RS fans will consider him a complete traitor. Just as we would if Unsy went over to coach their team. Just as people now consider Moyes after his parting comments, etc

As has been said by others, he has showed more fight and passion in one game than Koemans set up did in 18 months.
I for one wish him well.

The days of club loyalty from players and coaches has long gone. They are all mercenaries. Players move for the biggest payday. Coaches need instant results of they get sacked and moved on. As long as he gives 100% commitment while here, that's all we can ask.

Speaking to RS mates/family, they don't see him that way mate, they're actually made up he's back in the city.

We do it all the time.

Martinez was a trained physio, our injury record will be better etc etc
