There were quite a few folks out on their bikes this morning. Didn't see many youngsters and I'm sure chaps of a certain girth should be forbidden from wearing lycra, but overall good to see.

To be honest though, with the cycling at least, this has been building for a while now. On the commute to work there are loads of cyclists now. The Olympics certainly won't do any harm but it's been happening before the Olympics and will hopefully carry on after it such is the success of our riders in Europe.

That's great really. Doesn't matter what shape you are, got to start from somewhere. If it also garners interest in sports people haven't tried or thought to try, that's the sort of legacy I'd like to hear about.

Trouble is mate more than probably any other mainstream sport boxing can be so unpredictable but if we get 4 or 5 medals of any colour that's a hell of a lot to be proud of. I think now everyone is only one fight from a medal arent they ? That'd be 9 fighters and Selby, Stalker , Joshua and Campbell look strong enough to at least go close in the men's

yeh the men are all one fight away, thats the thing with amateur boxin, so rare for any one fighter to totally dominate a division, which tells you it can be unpredictable and very hard to medal in
