Anyone here take Atorvastatin?, I been on them now for 3 weeks and since the first few days of taking them the muscles in my legs ache like mad,

You should check with your doctor, I was taken off them for the same thing.

Anyone here take Atorvastatin?, I been on them now for 3 weeks and since the first few days of taking them the muscles in my legs ache like mad,

I have been taking Atorvastatin for a few years recently my doctor increased the dose to 40mg.
Around the same time I have been having lower back pain but have never connected the 2
I went to the doctor the other day about my back but never mentioned the Atorvastatin my GP was very helpful and though she didn't touch my back she suggested I took a paracetamol

I didn’t have any aches but did have terrible insomnia and constipation, they changed me to Rosuvastatin.

Been on them a good few years. Can't remember anything other than headaches as a side effect, and I had them anyway
Look out for der Mail or das Telegraf headlines, alternating between 'statins are good for life' and a few weeks later 'bad, bad statins cause death'

I got the insomnia too!!, go to bed about 11 and awake about 1.30 and can't drop back off, will tell my Doctor

Definitely mention it. Looks like I am one of the lucky ones as no side effects that I have noticed. Was on a different statin (cannot remember the name) but doctor changed me to these as they were cheaper.
