I use to do a Monday to Saturday round then swopped it for a Sunday round as you got nearly as much for the one day as you did all week but it was hard as you quite often got 3 papers to a house .
I remember while I was doing the papers the birth of the Sun which was previously called the Daily Herrald

The Daily Herald was a much better paper than the Sun, mind you the Beano and the Dandy were more intelligent reads than the Sun!

Don't know about that, they did the Old Jamaica which was dark chocolate but they also did the Rum and Raisin with milk chocolate

And you've been told before that a donkey IS NOT A HORSE! Let it go!!

There were also silver 3d coins, they were replaced by the twelve sided ones in 1937 but there were still some in circulation when Iwas growing up in the forties and fifties and are worth a good few pounds now depending on the year and head of the sovereign on the coin.

I remember when you could go into a shop with a pound and walk out with a mars bar, can of coke, pack of crisps, pack of pogs and 3 packs of panini stickers................. koff cctv !!
