C1 direct, C3 via Ellesmere Port.Bus to Chester?
100% and proud of it.Fixed that for you mert
Grateful for the Neston route in the early eighties. Think it was the 87 dropping me off at the Marconi factoryMight be, looks like the old green Crossville buses - could be going to Parkgate.
Remember getting the bus from that stop to Chester then on to some back of beyond village in North Wales, pouring rain. When you're a kid it seems like the journey took the whole day.C1 direct, C3 via Ellesmere Port.
But their human rights. When did paper timetables fpr buses and trains become obsolete ? It's bloody annoying. And for that matter, bus timetables at the stop only show the departing time, not the full timetable. No doubt because people complained about not being able to read the 24 hour clock.
The good stuff could dye your urine, highly amusing when you're a ten year old. They additives all had long strange names back then. No "E" numbers like today. Kids that we were back then, at the end of the day we took all the defected pops to the skips for waste. Then the pop fights started all of us going home drenched in sticky artificial flavouring.
Not on Thursday though. Payday saw me at fifteen going into one of the pubs on Old Chester Road on way home. Start of the slippery slope!
Still using the stuff in curries. My piss stinks like the Bengali Palace after one Xacuti. The good stuff could dye your urine, highly amusing when you're a ten year old.
The flooring reminds me of my primary school hall. Polished once a week so you could see your reflection in it by the janitor.View attachment 175082
….1946, Mill Road Hospital, Everton.
Not a bad beginning for Evertonians such as myself and a few others on here.
Oh yes, also had my wedding reception there. Look at all the girls in the queue, read the poster on the wall and Ladies (??) free before 10.30 could be the reason.View attachment 175212
…erm, the less said the better but I dare say many of us have a memory or two.
