Yep Stanley Stadium, like the long defunct Liverpool RL, which went to Huyton briefly, then folded
Remember the Stanley Stadium. Once went and watched an athletic meeting there. The only thing I remember was a well known West Indies runner named Arthur Wint won the 440 yards. I have posted this before somewhere but I used to ride cycle speedway for Prestbury Chads. Our captain was Peter Craven whose older brother (Brian) rode for Liverpool Chads. Peter went on to be world champion at proper speedway.
