I've got whisky...
I will always moan while people and society are complicit in handing cash to greedy media middle men who do nothing significant to contribute to society, as they acquire personal fortunes, while I worked a lifetime to improve society for much less personal wealth. Simply accepting the status quo, to protect myself from being called a moaning batch, is entirely negative and defeatist. After all I am the most quietly positive and optimistic realist you'd ever wish to meet. And @chrismpw still moans like a bitch.

And tasted really nice. Today's Wagon wheels are cheap and nasty.Wagon Wheels were definitely bigger
Oh the memoriesGola were the choice of the school team footballer when I was in secondary school 74-79. I had a pair of Gola championship (black with white stripes) and my first pair of "screw in" boots. Gola league,(black with luminous green stripes). As a maurauding right back for my school footy team, i looked superb, but was an averageplayer
my first pair of screw in studs boots was Lawrence circa 1971.I think it was Joseph de Maistre who said “very nation has the wagon wheel it deserves” or something similar. And tasted really nice. Today's Wagon wheels are cheap and nasty.
Don't forget Southport. (Can you beat 85?)Hi, I'm new to this thread.
Who do you reckon is the oldest poster on here.
Well, I remember seeing the likes of Billy Wright, Nat Lofthouse play. Also teams like Bradford Park Avenue and New Brighton were in the 3rd division North.

Thank you for your kind words. I think I may be second oldest. There is a gent on here who served in Malaya (as I did) who is about a year older than me.…I’d be surprised if @Methuselah isn’t our oldest and one of our most respected posters. I can’t remember how old he is but i posted a picture of Lime Street from the year he was born and there was plenty of horses.
