Speke social club, was that the honky tonk did you drink in the Noah's when Rudkin had it,
I use to be bevy in the Metal box and The Peg and the Fox( now dunnies )

Is the indirect free kick still a thing, you never see it nowadays ?
Not many.
I was thinking also that the practice of footballers no longer smearing their footie shirts with what I always thought was Vick. Remember at the start of the game all those clean jerseys and an unsightly dark blob like a dinner medal just under the neckline.

You see numerous indirect free kicks every game : offside :p, think playing in a dangerous manner, keeper handling twice/backpass and "obstruction" are all indirect as well.

I assume you mean in an attacking sense, was always fun when a team would get an indirect in the area and the defending team would have 11 men between the ball and the goal.

When I was playing I never knew the Reffs 'arm up' signal was for direct or indirect.
I told my lads hit it in the goal, because the keeper won't be sure eitherand if he gets a finger to it its a goal no matter what...and even if he doesn't and just dives the Reff will probably give it any way.

First job - hit it in the goal.

Yep, always fun those, although there was rarely a goal.

Seniors computer class. Lecturer decides to have a bit of fun and splits the class into two. Men and Women.
He then said 'If you had to allocate a gender to computers what would it be, Male or Female?'

The men came back first. Their gender was 'Female'.

Reasons:

1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic.

2. When computers communicate with each other they speak in code language that only they and experts understand.

3. Every mistake you make is stored on their hard drive for later retrieval.

4. Because as soon as you commit to one you find yourself spending half your wages on accessorising it.

The Females came back with their gender as 'Male'.

Reasons:

1. First of all, in order to get their attention you have to turn them on.

2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves.

3. They are supposed to help you solve problems but half the time they are the problem.

4. As soon as you commit to one you realise that if you had waited a little longer you could have got a better model.
