You can't beat a Holland's steak pie cob.I once saw Pie Butties on the menu in a chippy in Bradford.
Two pieces of white bread, heavily buttered, with a pie of your choice slapped in the middle and covered in brown or red sauce.
They also did fish butties, which was the same expect you swapped the pie for a battered fish![]()

That was a great chippy remember the curry rolls as well,lovely.Used to go with me dad they were always talking Everton early sixties era.Joes wife was Chinese I think and first time Id had curry sauce etc.Great days.Joe Breeze's chippie on the Overchurch used to make his own curry rolls, basically massive savouries shaped like rugby balls with curry in the middle
