Corbyn and Labour will be hoping it's not Boris Johnson. He would win a GE very easily. Older people love him, even Labour old people would vote for him.

Actually, I think he's a damn sight cleverer than he makes himself out to be, but he's still a bull in a china shop who talks far too often without engaging his brain first.

He would be a nightmare as a PM, our own version of Donald Trump, who is trying to run the most influential country in the world as a businessman, with absolutely no regard for the political fallout of his actions or comments.

I sincerely hope it's Johnson. Many people in this country have a serf like attitude to the likes of Johnson because of his privileged background, they'll cut him a lot of slack because of it. But the vast majority dont trust him. Deep down most people know that he's an utter clown and a calamity in the making just at that moment we need sensible leadership.

Sure as eggs are eggs the LP will win the next election if they face that feller.

My guess is that Johnson wont be allowed to become Tory leader. Some way will be found to stop that happening.

You make it sound like some dark plot. If he isnt one of the 2 final candidates that the Tory MPs end up with, then the wider party cant vote for him.

He has plenty of enemies/opponents in the MP ranks.

According to the mainstream media podcast consensus, they are setting aside their revulsion for him because they think he is the only one who can defeat Corbyn.

There will be literally hundreds of stories to explode around Johnson. His personal life is an absolute mess and the leaking of all that will be enough to deny him a huge swathe of Tory activists. Leaving that aside though, just point a microphone in his direction and it'll be a dropped bollock on every occasion.

I hope and pray he becomes Tory leader. I just dont think the Tories will allow that eventuality.

....that’s simply not true. I’m a traditional Labour voter and i’m over 60. I would never vote for Johnson in a million years. Indeed, i know lots of folk with my background and can’t think of any who see Johnson as anything other than a public school Toff who’s only interested in himself and his type.

It wasn’t that long ago he was Foreign Secretary, Nazenin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and her family know only too well how he performs in high office. He’s dangerous.
