Current Affairs The Labour Party

I'm from the second most deprived area in Britain and I am instinctively Labour.

Corbyn does not represent me or anyone I know in any way, shape or form. From my experience, people prefer common sense realism to the student club idealist politics he stands for.

He would be trounced in an election, and not because of any media agenda; it's because people simply won't vote for him.
That may be the case Tubey, i cannot speak for everyone and my perspective is probably narrow as it should well be.

I personally like his approach to politics, for example in PMQ he seems to be attacking the PM rather than going along with them like i have seen others before him do. He may be unelectable come the next election and yes i probably will vote for him. To be fair he has been elected leader twice now, with greater numbers voting for him. Labour might be a lost cause in 4 years which ever way you look at it so i think Corbyn may just be on a losing battle here no matter what he does.

We need a true Labour Party and a real Conservative party once again in this country because what we have right now is two social club's for career politicians who have never done a real days work in their life and have nothing but contempt for the people who elect them.

IOW, it's basically just like it is over here in the US then. Just a reminder that Trump represents the third party that "cannot win" in American politics. He's not an institutional Republican so much as that he gutted the weakened party and wears it like a skin suit. Most of the institutional Republicans love the promise of power too much to resist right now. They know when they're licked, and they have jobs now. If they behave.

Best of luck getting your party sorted. I wouldn't want to be in your shoes. Interesting times, indeed.

HERE IS THE MESSIAH

OUR TIME HAS COME

VOTE LOONY. you know it makes sense

Find they are as far away from my views as the tories these days .
Suppose if i am honest they havnt for a long time, to much uni mentality not enough factory floor mentality for my tastes.
First time ever i am not going to vote for them in the GE not going to vote at all as it stands, might vote for one of the smaller parties just to use my vote.

Do you mind explaining what you mean by "uni mentality" and not "factory floor mentality"?

I think this sums it up. Labour has been taken over by clever students and their ilk, having never done a days work in their lives. They love to protest because it looks cool and gives them a chance to throw something at a policeman without actually getting hurt. They are as far removed from Labour voters as Tony Blair.......

Not enough people actully in touch with people they are supposed to represent,as they are not and have never been in there shoes , might know the facts and figures for poverty and low pay but havnt lived it.
Straight from school to uni and never exposed to a diffrent way of thinking or view.
They have turned there noses up ,from Brown to Thornberry at the white working class for decades , just a bunch of racist ect if they dared question on immagration for example.
You can see it now they just cant accept the EU vote because they thought that everbody thought the same way its a shock to them , not we were beaten in the vote by the people we are supposed to respresent, but they were racist or misinformed or uneducated yes yet more scorn on there own core voters.
