I don't understand why people hate Corbyn so much. I'm not even a huge supporter of his, it's just I can't understand why he's getting the sheer amount of abuse he is.

How can he lead a party??? he can't talk, engage or even look smart! id sooner have Lord Sutch as leader

he certainly not an inspirational fella really is he? cant see him whipping up a crowd like Donald, maybe he could do with a few catchy chants like lock her up, drain the swamp ect over to you billy Bragg.
doesn't seen a bad fella really just not cut out for that job,its a bit like letting me be an ambassador or something bound to end up more trouble than its worth.

Hes useless and a former IRA supporter thats another reason why he has lost a lot of support

never mind he has been right on most of the pressing issues of our times, never mind that he didn't take the piss when the rest of them were caning the expenses, never mind that he speaks to people in a normal language rather than sound-bites - he doesn't meet my pressing sartorial standards so he is out

shame he flip flopped on the EU thing at the behest of his union paymasters.

shockingly low at this stage of the game normally the government that's is suffering , Jez will be even futher behind May I suspect

You might remember that the party actually did better in opinion polls in the run up to the 83 election / disaster. Had a double digit lead for a while. BUT, when JC was first elected, I made the point (as did many others) that it didn't really matter who was leader at this point - Labour was likely to lose in 2020 anyway. The hope was that they'd be left in a strong enough position to make a push in 2025.

Not looking especially likely.

...dreadful result in Copeland. The only way Corbyn leaves is if he resigns. With the current party membership, it's very likely a Corbynist will replace him. Surely it's better that happens immediately. If Corbyn leaves after the next election it will mean 5 more wasted years, best get his like minded replacement in now so a crushing General Election defeat will make the party realise the current direction of travel is unelectable.

If he were to resign now (and I can't see it myself), the PLP would present 3 or 4 candidates which would appall the membership. If he were to resign in a year or two, the True Believers would have had the chance to change the nomination rules so that another far left candidate could step in and take over.

I don't know what policies Labour will present in 2020, but I do know that I don't trust that the likely leadership (including Abbott, McDonnell and Thornberry) have the good judgment required to run a bath let alone the country.

absolutely key this, hopefully somehow get him out before this...he may well lose union support soon

With the Angels now, or will be if Corbyn stays much longer.

Thoughts.

Peaked with Wilson.
Faltered with Callaghan
Dead and buried by Maggie

Living dead/Zombie party with Corbyn and his predecessors - the fact that they are even slightly viable is a sad reflection on both The Opposition AND The Voters.

Just seen results (honest) Copeland result is up there with Orpington and those results in the early 80's

No I didn't - see bit about voters...anyway nobody 'wins' election the Incumbents lose/get voted out and the opposition get in by default
and I voted Labour back in the day.
Not sure who I'd vote for now - none of the above
