Never said you would introduce a law I clearly said you didn't go that far but you are close to it. You are playing semantics now though, you say limit the house they have which is just another way of limiting the amount of children someone has. Not with a law change specifically stating that but what you have outlined amounts to the same thing in essence.

I'm unsure how to answer this, it isn't about limiting the amount of children a person can have it's just saying you won't get another bigger house (unless there is scope to provide one) just because they have made the decision to have another child. If I wanted another child one would have to share a bedroom, if I had another then there would have to be 2 in each room. That is a choice.

Everyone should have a chance to have kids, but if you are talking 4/5+ and not putting back into the system and expecting more from the government off the back of that, then I don't think that is on. That is my personal view. I do not want to see kids destitute, I want there to be support for the neediest. But i also want some social responsibility from those that need that support. This is just for the people who could do something but choose not to. Even if the council made up some kind of community service and they were willing to participate then my view would change and that should give them access to more choices. People who can't work due to disabilities, illnesses, caring for family are not even on my radar.

With respect mate by limiting the houses anyone can have are you really giving them a choice? Or you just in a round about way dictating to someone how many children they can have? As I have said you haven't specifically said they are only allowed so many children but what you outline imo amounts to the same thing.

Well now social responsibility is something else entirely. And it's something the Tories don't have and needs a serious debate.

Through this, I can't see why our nation can't be at the forefront of bioinformatic research - finally providing the sort of technology to make the NHS truly cost-effective and, again, create a universal model that other nations will want to follow.

It's about time we make democracy work for us again, this is our chance.

This is our chance for radical change.

There's only one answer to that comrade -lol

It's not my intention to limit the number, (within reason) like I said I could squeeze 5 kids into my house. A medium 3 bed for a young-ish couple should be able to do that. Why should they have a 4/5/6 bed property for deciding to have more and more children?
I would hope this would only be the case for a small amount of people anyhow.

Can't argue the point about the tories! ;)

I find it highly depressing that so many Evertonians share their political and ideological viewpoint with the Tory Party.

A complete lack of empathy and human decency hidden behind a thin veneer termed 'realism' with no attempt being made to tackle the issues of today in a fashion that supports and protects the vulnerable but instead targets them.

How some of you sleep at night is beyond me.
