Collective assets of momentum members - 42 quid. But OK.

Labour's membership is half a million at last count - one of the largest in Europe. It can stand some waxing and waning.

It was at more than half a million because of someone though, or rather because him winning made it possible to think about a different form of politics.

If they are going to run it as an applause and walking around delivering leaflets factory again, it will probably go back to sub 200000 again (or less).

I knew 5/6 Labour Party members and they have all left. Hardly radical socialists either.

Donations from Party members during the Corbyn era was something else, I distinctly remember one member donating upwards of £6,000 despite living in the most abject conditions. She was quite old and had to stop canvassing with us as she was struggling physically, but wanted to make sure we had enough money to run campaigns.

Party membership fees brought in a lot of money too, a lot of people have left - more than what has been suggested by the party publicly.

I'd be very interested to see the treasurers report at conference.

Posted in scummy Tories but posting it here too.

That's Judith Cummins, Labour MP for Bradford as deputy speaker.

Politics in this country is on its arse.

All a little hammy pantomime if you ask me .Dawn knew the consequences from the outset, all about building the narrative of lies that is Boris. She took one for the team.

Spot on. And the Speaker had no choice at all; like getting sent off on purpose.

Indeed, but it does just expose that convention as being sadly one-sided nowadays - MPs shouldn't be accuses another MP of lying, and of course the corollary to that is that MPs shouldn't tell lies in Parliament. If they do accidentally mislead the House, they should correct themselves.

Johnson has repeatedly told lies in the Commons; he does not usually come back to correct the record. Dawn Butler is not incorrect in terms of fact.

All about getting the message out that Boris lies. Which of course he does, just the wider electorate up to last election had no idea. I was unfortunate enough to be in and around London for his entire time as London Mayor, so well versed in his untruths.

Apsana Begum told officials she was in “overcrowded conditions” with her family – but she lived in a four-bedroom house with three people, it was alleged yesterday. Begum, 31 – who won the east London seat of Poplar and Limehouse in 2019 with a majority of 28,904 – denies three counts of fraud between 2013 and 2016. It cost the council £63,928 as another person waiting for a home had to be housed elsewhere, London’s Snaresbrook Crown Court heard……

Won’t find many who don’t think what she did was wrong. Interesting that you post this whilst continually not caring about what the Tories do you silly little boot licker.
