Bercow got what he deserved, nothing. The Speaker should be completely impartial and he wasn’t. He brought the HoC into disrepute and sought to drive it into the direction in which he wanted. He was a bad Speaker. Even now, after the event and while ex Speakers remain impartial, he seeks to undermine the Speakers impartiality position. He is a cretin, an egotist, who believed he was all powerful, but was denied his normal elevation because of his disgraceful behaviour that brought the HoC into disrepute because of his bias. This midget will go down in history for what he is, a bad speaker.......

All common sense this, but surely Starmer has to say that is what they are going to do beforehand - something like the important thing is to send a message to this awful government, that Labour will take the high road and not seek party political advantage, do what’s best for the country etc.

Because he didn’t do that, he is now under pressure and we’ll have Davey and the rest of that shower claiming they are the real opposition again.

No not really, personally think its very condescending to advise your vote base in such matters and actually think those on the left of the spectrum are savvy enough to work these things out for themselves.

Kin hell, they have no idea how democracy is financed none at all... And probably explains some of why the Tories aren't losing support and Labour is.
Classic line that has zero understanding that Council Budgets are controlled by Central Government through increases and decreases in budgets and that Councils have legal obligations to fund certain services, so potholes and such like can be way down the list.
