That's because it is racism 100%.
So because someone's from an ethnic minority, any criticism is "racist"?

The same argument is used when Diane Abbott is criticised: "It's because she's a black woman", not because of her many verbal gaffes. Likewise with Patel, she's criticised because of her views, which is fair enough for any politician.

I accept that both women do receive abuse which is racist in nature; however, much of the criticism is fully justified and nothing to do with ethnic background.

TBF Patel has made as many verbal gaffes as Abbott but they rarely, if ever, get bought up, other than the time Ian Hislop schooled her over the death penalty.

I mean, she responded to a terrorist incident by saying, three times, that she was declaring a war on counter-terrorism.

I tell you one thing that I’ve noticed with regard to all of this kinda stuff and life in general. POC aren’t allowed to be rubbish at their jobs.

I see white people who are rubbish at their jobs everywhere. And they just plod along being rubbish. If it’s a person of colour who is rubbish then it’s tokenism and positive discrimination.

I don’t like Patel because she hates poor people and minorities. We have the opposite view on everything.

But there are plenty of white men who are just as [Poor language removed] as their jobs and dont get as much focus as Patel and Abbott.

You know, and this is a bit left field, but I'm starting to think that even if I gave you a detailed and easily understandable argument as to why you are wrong you wouldn't engage in good faith so I might just leave this one here, comrade.

Good idea. Trying to defend the indefensible is not an easy task

TBF I can’t think of a white male British politician who once got sacked from a Cabinet post for having multiple secret meetings with ministers from another country, offering to give that country’s military UK taxpayers money, all whilst on holiday and without telling their own government until after it happened, and lying to the then PM, plus lying about the next PMs knowledge of it *and* telling whoppers to the Press.
