Why would anyone wish to criticise multi-culturalism? Usually a short hand term for white British values.

There is no distinct culture in this country: it was an ethnically diverse and multi-layered society almost a thousand years before the BBC were formed.

The BBC should be critiqued for one reason and one only: it's unwavering support of capitialism and all the forces that prop it up.

As someone who has studied British History extensively I'm well positioned to call that out as bulls**t.

A thousand years ago Picts, Celts, Saxons, Angles, Jutes, Vikings all lived on this island bringing with them their own particular customs and lore, their own ideas concerning government and Gods/worship. Successive waves such as Normans and later Hugueonots, Jews etc etc established themselves and their own culture.

Is that not the very definition of multi-culturalism? You deny the history of this country if you see a long-standing monolithic culture.
