Imagine expecting this feller to do the right thing and actually organise his party to protect people being slain by a government mishandling a pandemic... Oh Dave
Sounds like a terrible idea. Don't imagine that will go down too well with the younger voters which Labour needs to keep hold of while trying to win back the red wall. Hopefully it is being reported in a more provocative sense that what it really is. There's no chance of me voting Tory in their current guise but if Labour turns into some jingoistic Make Britain Great Again party then it will make it difficult to vote for them too.

Sounds like the seeds of fascism/Nazism dressed up as patriotism. And what was it somebody said that those who do not remember or experienced fascism or Nazism are doomed to one day repeat those mistakes.

It isn’t even that; it’s just crap that some lazy PPE- degree holding Oxbridge gimp has come up with in the last 15 minutes before they were due to go home to the flat daddy bought them.
There’s absolutely an argument that could be made by Labour where they could legitimately call out the disgusting way in which Tory governments have treated the military and service personnel, the state of the military, the risk they’ve put the Union in and the governments abject cowardice on the international stage (especially vs the Russians).
However to do that you’d have to spend more than an hour researching it.
It was a shame he never got enough MP’s support when going for leader.
