Of course he has, and in other news Tony (I see everything) Blair has suggested that we should speed up the vaccinations. How do any of these people get paid for either stating the bleeding obvious or see what is already going on then attempt to hijack it as their own initiative.....Politicians, burn the lot of them.....
In all honesty Pete the Conservatives will struggle to "fix" it in the way you imagine. Lots of people lent the tories a vote to get out of Europe, who will either just not vote moving forward, or worse still go back to Labour. While I an't have Starmer, he's the sort of innoffensive moderate who lots will be go back to voting for. I also think though, pretty much any leader was always going to get 30-40 seats back once Brexit was done. The further into the memory it is, the more that dynamic will be.
You take those 30-40 seats back and the Tories are at or about a minority government status.
They then need to maintain pretty much all their seats, following what can only be decribed as a fairly shambolic handling of a pandemic which has completely busted our economy as a result. It's a long way back for them. You've also got the old demography going against them as well.
I can't stand Starmer really, but what amazes me is the Tories keep walking into the fella's traps.
They are being more indecisive than him. Make a decision. Close schools for 4 weeks, vaccinate teachers, resolve mass testing, get test and trace working. It's not hard. I'm genuinely baffled why we have different cabinet ministers now saying different things. It just plays straight into Starmers hands.

I don't think Johnson will be around much longer. There will be a complacency from Labour, but the Tories will not be this bad forever. Unfortunately they/we will not be facing Boris Johnson in 2024.

Do you really think Blair or Starmer are men of the people...they are all the same.....
The rest of them are 'kin worse than Johnson and will, if they're not already, like Gove and several others, be electoral AIDS when this is over.
Blair isn't, Starmer is to be fair. An ordinary lad, went via grammar school and did well for himself.
There's a lot I'd criticise Starmer for but he's done very well for himself.
You can’t just deflect criticism of your own boy by saying all politicians are all the same.
Not especially a fan of Starmer or Blair but I would have more confidence in them handling this current crisis than the duplicitous clown we currently have in.

The issue was about the ‘real world’ and ‘ordinary folk’ not managing a crisis. My point is that very few members of any political party these days have any understanding or relationship with either.....
